Hello, Everyone! This week’s post will be the last one I write during this fall semester. Unsurprisingly, with all the work I’ve got going on right now, this post will be short and to the point. Even though I didn’t achieve all my #AcWriMo goals, I still think it’s important to wrap it up by writing a final update on how much I was able to get done this past month. Plus, even without completing all my goals, I still feel like I had a really productive month.

Goal One: Write My Specialization Exam

Completed

Passed.

Goal Two: Write My Computers and Writing Conference 2018 Abstract

Completed

I’m just waiting to hear back on if it was accepted.

Goal Three: Write My Book Review

Not Completed

I’ve read the whole book and have started drafting the review.

Goal Four: Draft My Dissertation Proposal

Not Completed

I met with my dissertation chair this past week to go over all my questions about the proposal and the dissertation process in general. The plan is to go over a draft immediately after returning from winter break.

Final Thoughts

While I did not complete all my goals for the month, I’m set to complete all of them by the end of winter break. Plus, I’m caught up with all of my grading (with only two small exceptions), I’ve already drafted my students’ final exam and its review, I’ve send in my textbook request form for next semester, and I’ve figured out the logistics for next week’s Writing Program assessment (I’m the data coordinator for our Writing Program). So, on the whole, I feel like I accomplished quite a bit in my first #AcWriMo.

Talk Soon!
